Getting to Cannes and parking: plane, train, car
The short answer
Cannes is reached from Nice Côte d’Azur airport in under 30 minutes by road, 45 minutes on the Zou 81 bus, or 25 to 30 minutes on the TER train from Nice Saint Augustin. On the A8 motorway, take exit 41 Cannes La Bocca or exit 42 Mougins and Cannes centre. Once there, the Palais des Festivals is walkable from the centre. The hard part is not arriving, it is parking: a parking space comes with this apartment, inside the residence.

Parking, the actual hard part
Cannes is a seaside town squeezed between the railway and the Croisette, and during show weeks parking demand exceeds what the centre offers. That is why this apartment leads with its parking space rather than its other features: it sits inside the residence and it is included in the stay.
On the street, the city counts 2,166 paid spaces in two zones, all with the first half hour free, then €3 for two hours. On top of that come more than 7,000 spaces in car parks, more than 4,600 spaces for two wheelers, and 16,000 free spaces across the town.
The eight covered car parks run by the municipal operator CANNES Parking, including the Palais car park, give 3 free hours on Saturday and 3 on Sunday and public holidays, once a day and in one go, plus 2 free hours once a week. From Saturday 7 pm to Sunday 9 am, parking there is capped at €3. Four surface car parks, including the Montfleury one, give two free hours once a day, Monday to Saturday.
To leave a car for a long time without paying, the Bastide Rouge park and ride, 11 avenue Maurice Chevalier in La Bocca, has 263 free spaces open day and night, served by Palm Bus lines A, 1, 17, N1 and N20.
Two traps worth knowing. Delivery bays are limited to 30 minutes, seven days a week and at any hour. And a car left in a paid zone beyond the time paid for can be towed away.

Once there, everything is walkable
From the apartment, rue d’Antibes and its shops are 400 m away, the beaches 700 m, and the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès 1.3 km. The Montfleury district sits up the hill, so the walk down to the Croisette is easy, and the climb back in the evening is the price of a quiet neighbourhood.
